Hour Children is a leading provider of services to incarcerated and formerly incarcerated women in New York State. Focused on women and their children, they support families during a mother’s incarceration and help families get back on their feet upon release.

 

 

 

"Echoes of Incarceration" is a youth-produced documentary project focusing on impact of the prison system on children. The films, produced by teens with incarcerated parents, explore an issue facing an estimated 7 million children in the US, and seek to create powerful advocacy tool, told from the life experiences of the filmmakers themselves.

 

 

 

The mission of the Volunteers of Legal Service Incarcerated Mothers Law Project (IMLP) is to make legal information and advocacy on family law issues accessible to mothers in prison or jail.

 

 

 

For 175 years, The Correctional Association of New York (CANY) has been the only independent organization in New York with authority under state law to monitor prisons and report findings to the legislature and the broader public.

 

 

 

The Osborne Association serves individuals, families, and communities affected by the criminal justice system. In 2006, Osborne launched the NY Initiative for Children of Incarcerated Parents, a statewide collaborative focused on the well-being of children whose parents are justice-involved.

PSPP works with states to advance data-driven, fiscally sound policies and practices in the criminal and juvenile justice systems that protect public safety, hold offenders accountable, and control corrections costs.

 

 

 

The Innocence Project is a national litigation and public policy organization dedicated to exonerating wrongfully convicted individuals through DNA testing and reforming the criminal justice system to prevent future injustice.

 

 

 

Reclaiming Futures is a national public health oriented juvenile justice reform organization dedicated to improving behavioral health outcomes for youth and families.

 

 

 

Restorative Justice Online is a service of the Prison Fellowship International Centre for Justice and Reconciliation. Its purpose is to be an authoritative, credible, non-partisan resource of information on restorative justice.
